Within your Sprotbrough library membership we now provide e-book services which include Borrowbox and the new cloud library.
Each service allows you to download different titles using your membership number and pin (speak to a member of staff if unsure of your numbers). You will need to download the individual application, then once activated you can borrow up to 10 titles of e-books and eAudio books.
You can reserve titles, track your progress on current loans, read or listen to extracts, anytime, anywhere. You are informed by e-mail when your choice is available, start reading, you have 21 days before the titles expire.

- Freegal is music

Doncaster & District Talking Newspapers for the Blind
We are based at Sprotbrough Community Library.
If you are registered as blind or partially sighted, you are entitled to receive, once a fortnight completely free of charge a 90 plus minute memory stick audio recording of local news and human interest stories selected by kind permission of the editors of Doncaster’s daily and weekly newspapers. Recordings are sent, and returned to us, by FREEPOST.
We also supply a player – also completely free of charge – to any registered blind/partially sighted person who does not already have the means to play memory sticks, for example on a PC or laptop).

If you aren’t registered you can also listen to our broadcasts via our Facebook page links, search for – Doncaster Talking Newspapers, or via The British Wireless for the Blind Sonata service.
Please note that the library does not manage the Talking Newspapers service and you should contact them direct, on their contact details supplied above, for anything to do with their service. The library provides room hire to Doncaster Talking Newspapers to enable them to do their recordings.
